Friday 12th December

Has been dithering when we were going to go to Kennedy Space Center but decided to go today when we got up. And a good decision that was. The shuttle arrived back on planet earth last week from a two week tour of space and a visit to the space station. Pity we weren't here last week as that would have been super cool. But when it returned it didn't land at Kennedy it landed at Edwards in California which gave us the opportunity to take the following picture.

Tuesday 9th

Went for a wee drive up to Daytona Beach today. Stopped and took pictures at the race track just to say I've been there. Then did what every self respecting visitor to Daytona should do - drove along the beach - frickin awesome.

Monday 8th December

Went to the Harry P Leu gardens this morning. Ended up spending 4 hours wandering round the gardens. They were very nice, lots of individual areas that were different to other areas.

After that we went for a wee drive then went and got dinner.

Sitting in the hotel lobby that evening I was convinced I'd seen a famous person, we asked the bellhop and he pleaded ignorance, though this may have been feigned, he made out he didn't even know the chap. Picture below answers on a postcard if you know who it is.

Bumbling messages from a brit in the U S of A.

Why is travelling so draining?  You arrive feeling all glad and happy to get where you are going then you crash and feel tired and weird all that happened was I jumped on a plane for nearly 10 hours. Still here now and things are looking good. The hotel is very nice, right across the road from Universal Orlando and I mean right across the road, I'd put up a picture but we're on the other side of the Hotel.  Which brings me nicely onto my first picture.
